characterO: Measurements of Fourier parameters on handwritten characters...

Description Format Author(s) References

Description

The characterO is a list that contains the extracted Fourier parameters and annotation for 650 handwritten characters 'O', written by 11 writers. It is a subset of the data collected by R. Marquis (see Marquis et al. (2005)).

Format

This list contains the following object:

measurements

A 554 x 13 matrix. It contains the extracted fourier parameters (the order 0 harmonic A_0 and the first 6ths hamornics an_i and bn_i) for the 554 characters.

info

A data.frame containing the character's annotation. That is with columns

  • writer the writer's id (from 1 to 11)

  • page the character's page number (from 1 to 5).

  • number the character's number on the page (from 1 to 10).
