Description

snowfall extension for

1. extended load balancing and

2. dependencies of arguments to remote function on former results, and

3. Simplifying debugging of remote errors.

Most important function of the package is sfRemoteWrapper, to trace errors in a remote process.

Further functionality of the package includes:

• providing more than one argument to load balanced apply: sfFArgsApplyLB

• providing result of a previous call to FUN in load balancing: sfFArgsApplyDep

• simplifying the list of results of sfClusterApply similar to apply: sfSimplifyLBResult

• load balanced parallel application of FUN to rows or columns of matrix X: sfApplyMatrixLB

• executing a list of functions distributed across cpus via sfApply: sfPar
