Description
Characteristics of a sample of roller coasters in the United States
Format
A data frame with 157 observations on the following 13 variables.
CoasterName of the roller coaster
ParkName of the amusement park
CityCity where the coaster is located
StateState where the coaster is located
TypeWood or Steel
DesignSit Down, Stand Up, Inverted, etc.
YearYear the coaster was put into service
SpeedTop speed (in mph)
HeightVertical distance to the tallest point (in feet)
DropMaximum vertical drop (in feet)
LengthTotal length of the ride (in feet)
DurationDuration of the ride (in seconds)
InversionsNumber of inversions
Details
Information on a sample of roller coasters at amusement parks in the US.
