Snapper Weight Data
Description
Weight and length measurements of 844 snapper (Pagrus auratus)
caught in the Hauraki Gulf, near Auckland, New Zealand.
Format
A data frame with 844 observations on 2 variables.
- len
Fork length in centimetres. The fork length of a fish measured from the tip of the snout to
the end of the middle caudal fin rays and is used in fishes in which it is difficult to tell where the vertebral column ends.
Essentially it is the measurement from the tip of the 'nose' of the fish to the 'vee' in the tail.
- wgt
Weight of the fish in kilograms (kg).
