SOILWAT2 is forced by

• daily time traces:

  • rainfall (cm)

  • minimum air temperature at 2-m height (C)

  • maximum air temperature at 2-m height (C)

• mean monthly values (climate normals):

  • wind speed at 2-m height (miles/h before SOILWAT v24; m/s starting with SOILWAT v24)

  • relative humidity at 2-m height (%)

  • cloud cover (%)

• mean vegetation

• soil characterization

• et cetera
