In UBC-MDS/rpuck: What the Package Does (One Line, Title Case)

Group 6 Code of Conduct

This project is created for the Master of Data Science program course DSCI524 at the University of British Columbia. We strive to complete the assigned tasks to the best of our abilities. We all share the same goal of learning as much as we can, and creating a beautiful piece of work for a portfolio at the same time. In hopes of creating an effective, fair, and fun group we should all follow the following rules:

Statement of Inclusion

We are committed to creating a friendly and respectful place for learning, teaching and contributing. This project is created and maintained by people of different backgrounds orginating from the UBC Masters of Data Science program. As such, this project will adhere to the MDS code of conduct and the UBC Student Code of Conduct. Similarly, anyone contributing towards this project are expected to be courteous, understanding and welcoming of diversity.

Expected Behavior

All participants in our events and communications are expected to show respect and courtesy to others. In accordance with the Inclusion Statement, all interactions regarding this project are expected to:

• be inclusive in speech, actions, and written word
• be respectful of differences
• be courteous towards others

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of unacceptable behaviour include, but are not limited to:

• verbal/physical hostility towards others
• harassment of any kind
• exclusion of any kind
• nonconsensual interactions
• hateful, or disrespectful speech
• sexist, Racist, or homophobic actions and language
• failure to communicate
• plagiarism
• missing deadlines
• etc.

Any form of inappropriate behavior should be reported as soon as possible, and will be dealt with accordingly.
