#' Each row is a soil core replicate (15cm deep by 4.8cm diameter cylinder). Samples are
#' split between 6 "Adenostoma" samples and 6 "grass" samples.
#'
#' 'Dry_biomass' is the 60C x 72h oven-dried biomass of >2mm roots from each cylinder.
#'
#' 'Ash_biomass' is the residual of 550C x 4h muffle furnace burned biomass, taken here as
#' the non-C content of the dry biomass.
