Seems like it might be doable with some combination of auto.accept and force.update (maybe), but then if you're using those non-interactively...

[x] Check whether the parse/deparse cycle in browser does not fail with e.g. invalid latin-1 locale. [ ] Switch to simplermarkdown? Abandoning for now due to lack of re-usable blocks. Need to study how to implement that.
