State Names and Abbreviations Dataframe
Description
A dataset that puts state.abb and state.names together into a single
dataframe, along with DC. This also carries several datasets' codes,
including FIPS, two different definitions of the South, and at-large
districts by the 2010 census.
Usage
state_df
Format
A dataframe with 51 rows and 9 variables:
- stabb
State abbreviations
- stname
State names
- stfips
FIPS code
- sticpsr
ICPSR code
- strevsh
Alphabetical code
- south_full
Definition of the Southern part of the United States
- south
The confederate states
- al_2010
At-large districts by the 2010 census
