Evaluates a BayesSpaceBasis

Description

The basis is represented by log-densities. The function is vectorized, i.e. multiple x values may be provided.

Usage

basisEval(basis, x, ...)

## S3 method for class 'BayesSpaceBasis'
basisEval(basis, x, ...)

## S3 method for class 'basisfd'
basisEval(basis, x, ...)

## S3 method for class 'BayesSpaceBasis'
as.function(x, ...)

Arguments

basis

a description of a basis, e.g. through a BayesSpaceBasis object

x

the data values on which the basis shall be evaluated

...

further parameters that a generic can use, e.g. describing method and precision of evaluation.

Value

a matrix with the evaluation for one each of the x in a row.

Methods (by class)

  • basisEval(BayesSpaceBasis): the standard method for BayesSpaceBasis

  • basisEval(basisfd): a method implementation for basisfd

Functions

  • as.function(BayesSpaceBasis): the basis can also be converted to a function or called directly

Examples

x = seq(0,1,by=0.1)
basisEval(B2Unif01Basis5,x)
