Corresponds to the WES calculation outlined in Shockley K.R., 2014.
Usage

Arguments
resp
A numeric vector of values representing the dose response measurements.
pos_ctl_fit
An object of class drc fit with drm() and the argument fct = LL.4().
curve_type
String. Either "negative", "positive", or "auto" indicating the (expected) sign of the slope of the curve.
LLoD
Numeric. The lower limit of detection.
