Chromsome character values as integer
Usage

chrAsNumeric(x)
Arguments
x
character vector of chromosomes.
Details
Chromosome codes follow MAP files codeing as in PLINK.
Autosomes are coded 1 through 22.
Others use the following code:
X chromosome: X or 23
Y chromosome: Y or 24
Pseudo-autosomal region of X: XY or 25
Mitochondrial: MT or 26
Value
integer vector of chromosomes.
