Functional mapping a function to its exp version

Description

Exp maps f(x) to Exp(f(x)). Ln is its inverse operation.

Usage

Ln(f)

## S3 method for class 'numeric'
Ln(f)

## S3 method for class ''function''
Ln(f)

## S3 method for class 'list'
Ln(f)

Exp(f)

## S3 method for class 'numeric'
Exp(f)

## S3 method for class ''function''
Exp(f)

## S3 method for class 'list'
Exp(f)

Arguments

f

the function (or a constant)

Value

same type as f but exponentiated

Methods (by class)

  • Exp(numeric): numeric method just evaluates exp

  • Exp(`function`): Function method maps the function

  • Exp(list): list method iterates in a vectorized manner over the list

Functions

  • Ln(): Inverse of Exp

  • Ln(numeric): method for numerics just applies the natural logarithm

  • Ln(`function`): Inverse functional mapping

  • Ln(list): list method operates in a vectorized way over the list

Examples

Exp(1)
f = function(x) x^2
expf = Exp(f)
expf
lnf = Ln(f)
Exp(lnf)
Ln(expf)
