isCentered(x)

## Default S3 method:
isCentered(x)

## S3 method for class 'BData'
isCentered(x)

## S3 method for class 'BDataSplines'

## S3 method for class 'BayesSpaceBasis'
isCentered(x)

Arguments

x

the object to be checked

Value

a boolean, if true the system believes that the object is already closed

Methods (by class)

  • isClosed(default): default methods always returns FALSE

  • isClosed(BData): BData returns true if it was closed or declared closed

Functions

  • isCentered(): Checks for centering

  • isCentered(default): default methods always returns FALSE

  • isCentered(BData): BData returns true if it was closed or declared closed

  • isCentered(BDataSplines): BDataSplines returns true if the basis is centered

  • isCentered(BayesSpaceBasis): BayeSpaceBasis requests whether the basis is considered centered

Examples

isClosed(dnorm) # FALSE, because we have not way of knowing
isClosed(BDataDensities(list(dnorm),basis=B2N01Basis5,closed=TRUE)) # TRUE by assertation
isClosed(BDataDensities(list(Mul(2,dnorm)),basis=B2N01Basis5,close=TRUE)) # TRUE by making it
isCentered(dnorm) # FALSE, because we have not way of knowing
isCentered(BDataDensities(list(dnorm),basis=B2N01Basis5,closed=TRUE)) # FALSE
isCentered(cen(BDataDensities(list(Mul(2,dnorm)),basis=B2N01Basis5))) # TRUE by making it
