isInDomainR Documentation

Checks whether values are in the domain of the ReferenceMeasure

Description

The function acts vectorized, i.e. in case of numbers or other atomic objects it expects a vector of the given type. In case of values that can not be stored in a vector it expects a list of the elements.

Usage

isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

## S3 method for class 'BayesSpace'
isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

## S3 method for class 'L2Space'
isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

## S3 method for class 'BayesSpaceBasis'
isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

## S3 method for class 'ReferenceMeasureTransformed'
isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

## S3 method for class 'ReferenceMeasureDiscrete'
isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

## S3 method for class 'ReferenceMeasureCartesianProduct'
isInDomain(x, referenceMeasure)

Arguments

x

values to be checked to be in the reference measure

referenceMeasure

the referenceMeasure to be checked against. It can be provided indirectly.

Value

a logical vector of the same length as 'x', 'TRUE' where the corresponding value lies in the domain (support) of the reference measure and 'FALSE' otherwise.

Methods (by class)

  • isInDomain(BayesSpace): method for BayesSpaces

  • isInDomain(L2Space): method for L2Spaces

  • isInDomain(BayesSpaceBasis): method for BayesSpaces

  • isInDomain(ReferenceMeasureTransformed): method for ReferenceMeasureTransformed. The domain is always an open interval, where 0<cdf(x)<1.

  • isInDomain(ReferenceMeasureDiscrete): method for discrete Reference Measures

  • isInDomain(ReferenceMeasureCartesianProduct): method for product measures
