supportDiscretization: Computes the discretization of a mixed support

supportDiscretizationR Documentation

Computes the discretization of a mixed support

Description

This provides discretization points for functions with a individual jumps for the purpose of graphical display, i.e. with equispaced points in lim

Usage

supportDiscretization(support, ...)

## S3 method for class 'RealSupport'
supportDiscretization(support, nEval = 513, ...)

## S3 method for class 'DiscreteSupport'
supportDiscretization(support, ...)

Arguments

support

the [Support] to be discretized (or an object which has a support)

...

further generic arguments

nEval

the number of gridpoints to discretize the continuous part (defaults to 513)

Value

a list with the elements

x

the continuous discretization values

X

the discrete values

Xplot

the location to plot the discrete values

Xlab

labels to plot the discrete values

all

X and x combined

iX

the indices to access X in all

ix

the indices to access x in all

Methods (by class)

  • supportDiscretization(RealSupport): method for real supports

  • supportDiscretization(DiscreteSupport): method for real supports

Examples

supportDiscretization(Support(1,3,X=seq(1,2,by=0.1)))
