## Description

The calculation of the so-called expected value is one of possible methods to deffuzify a fuzzy number.

## Usage

 ```1 2``` ```## S4 method for signature 'FuzzyNumber' expectedValue(object, ...) ```

## Arguments

 `object` a fuzzy number `...` additional arguments passed to `expectedInterval`

## Details

The expected value of A is defined as EV(A) := (EI_U(A) + EI_L(A))/2, where EI is the `expectedInterval.`

## Value

Returns a single numeric value.
