Read a single file and dispatch it to the matching format

Description

Checks whether the file has a recognized extension, then determines which format it comes from and calls the corresponding read_*() function. Files with non-data extensions (e.g. PNG, PDF, TXT) are silently ignored. Unrecognized data files produce a console message.

Usage

.process_file.aidR(filename, id, clean = TRUE, ...)

Arguments

filename	Character string with the filename to parse.
id	Character or numeric participant identifier.
clean	Logical, if TRUE, the data will be cleaned and standardized.
...	Additional arguments passed on to clean().

Value

A list with the data found in the file. NULL if the file was ignored or could not be parsed.
