This function will not be called directly by the user. The function is used by the plotSample and plotDataset functions to produce continous colors for use in heat map.

heatCol(col.list)
Arguments
col.list
a vector giving hex codes for the colors to be used in the heat map
Value
A list of vectors, each vector containing hex color codes that represent a continuous range.
