getMetadataCSV: Get parameters of 'R/qtl' input data.

Description

Given the path to an R/qtl input CSV file, or a data.frame loaded from such a file, this function determines the parameters of that data (e.g. phenotype columns).

Usage

getMetadataCSV(x)

Arguments

x	An R/qtl input CSV file or an R/qtl input data.frame.

Details

The returned list includes information on the following parameters:

• pheno.colsIndices of phenotype columns, or NULL if none found.

• id.colIndex of ID column, or NA if not found.

• geno.colsIndices of genotype columns, or NULL if none found.

• dat.rowsRow indices of data.

• map.presentTRUE if the data contains a map; FALSE otherwise.

• classExpected class of the input data. This is 'unknown' by default.

This information can then guide further processing of the input data.

Value

A list containing parameters of R/qtl input data.
