Data on the racial composition of prison populations in the US, at the state-month level. The variables are as follows:

A (tibble) data frame with 9,585 rows and 9 variables.
date. Date.
state. State. Count of total incarcerated population.
incarcerated_total. Count of total incarcerated population.
incarcerated_white. Count of white incarcerated population.
incarcerated_black. Count of Black incarcerated population.
incarcerated_hispanic. Count of Hispanic incarcerated population.
incarcerated_amerind. Count of Amerindian incarcerated population.
incarcerated_asian. Count of Asian incarcerated population.
incarcerated_nonwhite. Count of nonwhite incarcerated population.
