Description

The dataset of violent crime statistics by county in South Carolina in 2019 according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Violent crime includes murder, sexual battery, robbery, and aggravated assault as a result of a personal confrontation between offender and victim. The processed dataset includes the county name, the number of violent crimes, the crime rate according to the county population, the clearance rate (the percentage of crimes cleared by arrest or exceptional means), and census information. The dataset is categorized as a Social and Community Context Determinant of Health.
