calibrate.c.alphaR Documentation

Monte Carlo calibration of the decision threshold

Description

Simulates the null distribution of the MSSR statistic for a given design. Internal helper of Overdispersion.test.

Usage

calibrate.c.alpha(
  mu.vector,
  n.vector,
  bootstrap.runs,
  pretest.mode = "tolerant",
  tolerance.factor = 2,
  zero.group.mean = 0.5
)

Arguments

mu.vector

Vector with the expected value per treatment group

n.vector

Vector with the number of observations per treatment group

bootstrap.runs

Number of Monte Carlo simulations

pretest.mode

Reference distribution ("tolerant" or "strict")

tolerance.factor

Tolerated variance-to-mean ratio (only used if pretest.mode = "tolerant")

zero.group.mean

Value that replaces a group mean of zero in the denominator

Value

Numeric vector with the simulated null distribution of the test statistic
