Arguments that can be passed along to the proxy function. 
Crude Monte Carlo is arguably the simplest method for estimating a volume integral within a segment of a stem bole. The equations used in estimation are given in the reference below, which also points to more detailed references. Essentially, the crude Monte Carlo method extracts one or more heights uniformly at random, at which crosssectional areas are determined. From these, a volume estimate can be made for each subsampled height.
