A function to order a list of chromosomes

1	chr.sort(chrlist)

chrlist

(character): a vector containing chromosome names (chr1, chr2...chrX,chrY )

a character vector of sorted chromosomes

1 2	chrlist <- paste("chr",c("X","Y",sample(1:22)),sep="") chr_sorted <- chr.sort(chrlist)
