Stage sequences as a FASTA file so that workers read rather than receive them
Description
Written in blocks: an XStringSet over the whole vector would double peak
memory at exactly the input size where this path is worth using. The
record name carries the input position, so a sequence dropped later for
containing N can still be identified.
Usage
.spill_fasta(seqs, tmpdir = tempdir())
Arguments
seqs
Character vector of sequences.
tmpdir
Directory for the file.
Value
The path, carrying the input count and names as attributes.
